SportWorks TALKS – “From breaking records to building a Federation: a leadership journey”

It is challenging to become a leader in a specific field of our life and work. It can be even harder to maintain leadership in numerous fields, with the same degree of success. What skills are necessary to thrive when dealing with multiple careers or doing a career transition in sports? What could we learn from those who took this path – and succeeded? In this upcoming SportWorks TALK, Ian Adamson will share his leadership journey, from being a high-performance athlete to becoming a business owner and consultant, events and TV shows producer, and entrepreneur and current president of World Obstacle (Obstacle Sports International Federation). Ian is a ten-time adventure racing world champion and three times Guinness world-record holder for endurance kayaking. He later built a successful corporate career. In 2014, he led the creation of World Obstacle, that grew to more than 100 National Federations around the globe.
